May 15, 2019. Baldy 200C as we receive it from the Graduate School of Education (GSE). Most recently, the GSE has been using this space to teach statistical methods to Counseling and Educational Psychology and Educational Leadership and Policy students.
May 16, 2019. GSE has recovered their computers. CSE has tagged the existing furniture for disposal. These desks have glass surfaces through which students can view under-the-desk CRT monitors. This is a very obsolete design concept, so we're letting the desks go.
May 21, 2019. We decide to salvage the chairs. They're better than some of our existing class lab chairs, so we move them to Baldy 21 and Bonner 114.
May 22, 2019. The Electrical Shop has removed the door alarm system. We want to routinely work with the door open. This door alarm system sounded after five minutes of detecting that the door was ajar, so it would not permit our work style.
June 5, 2019. The Carpentry Shop has unmounted the whiteboard.

June 5, 2019. Corrigan Moving Systems has moved the Baldy 200C storage closet's metal storage cabinets to temporary storage so the floor will be accessible for its epoxy application.
June 14, 2019. UB Facilities Moving Services has cleared out all the obsolete desks.
June 17, 2019. Custodial Services has completely cleared the lab of debris. Note the extraneous cabling on the east wall, including a bank of dangling, disused telephone lines. This space must have been used as a call center at some point.
July 19, 2019. Dave, Carl, and Artie from the Paint Shop have begun patching the walls and have painted the wire mold raceways. Grant from Network and Classroom Services has removed the extraneous cabling visible in the previous image.
July 22, 2019. Dave, Carl, and Artie have painted Sherwin-Williams 'Silver Quill' paint color on three walls.
July 24, 2019. Painting's done! Dave, Carl, and Artie have applied Sherwin-Williams 'Software' paint color on the east side accent wall and on the door and window trim.
July 31, 2019. GP Flooring has removed the carpeting.
August 5, 2019. Millennium Construction has installed the epoxy flooring! After looking at another UB epoxy floor, Millennium PM Mike decided to tweak the percentages to 70% white, 15% blue, and 15% gray.
August 13, 2019. Grant has removed the ceiling videoprojector mount that stuck out like a sore videoprojector mount and replaced the network termination ports with white models. The Electrical Shop has begin replacing the electrical outlets and switches with white, too.
August 22, 2019. Tim and Sujata make final carpet layout decisions.
August 26, 2019. GP Flooring has finished installing the carpet. The carpet run looks too short, so we're going to add two more rows of carpet tiles.
August 28, 2019. Prentice has begun delivering and installing the central collaboration furniture. The Electrical Shop has changed out all the electrical fixtures with white models. We've laid out two additional rows of carpet tiles.
August 29, 2019. Furniture installation continues. GP Flooring set and finished the additional two rows of carpet tiles.
August 30, 2019. Prentice prepares to install the Powertrack-Ramp Thread product underneath the carpet to route electricity to the powered worktables.
August 30, 2019. Prentice has completed the Powertrack-Ramp Thread and collaboration area furniture installation.
October 11, 2019. Kris and his CSE 450 TAs brought some tables and chairs up from storage to accommodate the CSE 450 students until the permanent lab workbenches arrive later this month.
Oct. 17, 2019. The UB Paint Shop (Dave, Greg, and Karl) repaired the damage around the electrical box that subsequent contractors introduced since the original paint job in July.
November 6, 2019. Southtowns AV has mounted the monitor.
November 7, 2019. On a snowy morning, Millington-Lockwood has begun bringing the lab bench components into the lab.

November 8, 2019. Millington-Lockwood's finished installation of the Mayline TechWorks lab benches gives the lab an entirely different look and feel. The butcher's block work surfaces and under-cabinet lighting turn the lab into a professional workspace.
December 2, 2019. We ordered a Craftsman 26" rolling tool chest for the electrical box access gap. It seemed necessary for the lab's feng shui.
December 5, 2019. CIT engineer Tom Jauch and his student assistants install the brand-new VoIP phone.
December 23, 2019. Alan Hunt donated an Echo Dot to the lab, for entertainment or to be cannibalized for research.
