Many of our undergraduates receive financial aid in the form of scholarships and fellowships.
Undergraduate EE students are eligible for many engineering-wide scholarships managed through the Dean's Office in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. More information on these scholarships can be found on the UB Engineering Scholarships page.
We encourage our undergraduate students to participate in research with our faculty and this may be done in a number of ways. The UB Center for Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (CURCA) offers undergraduates various opportunities for funding and training in the pursuit of conducting research with faculty. EE also offers its own Undergraduate Scholars Program where faculty choose an undergraduate to perform research and provide financial support. A third option for research is EE499 Independent Study, which counts as a senior technical elective and enables undergraduate students to work with faculty and receive course credit. For more information please contact our Academic Coordinator, Mary Busch.
EE offers travel fellowships for students who participate in UB Study Abroad and International Programs. Interested students should submit a resume and a 500-word Statement of Plans essay (what you hope to learn and how it will impact your studies and career) to Kimberly Kriz after receiving acceptance to your Study Abroad program.
Visit the Fellowships and Scholarships website to learn more about featured university awards and national and international fellowships.
