Superconductor Week, a leader in global coverage of the technology and commercialization of low- and high-temperature superconductors, featured an in-depth interview with Amit Goyal, SUNY Distinguished Professor and SUNY Empire Innovation Professor.
The founding director UB’s RENEW Institute, Goyal discussed his background, the superconducting industry, RENEW and more. He said RENEW has “hired 19 multidisciplinary faculty,” guided the “submission of over 350 research grant proposals,” and “enabled the publication of over 500 publications and over 300 presentations.” He added that RENEW has “assisted in garnering roughly $40 million in external funds” and created “cutting-edge” labs that give UB an edge among peers.
