SEAS students earn second place at the TYESA UAV competition

Two teams of mechanical and aerospace engineering freshmen and sophomores participated in the SUNY TYESA (SUNY Two Year Engineering Science Association) Mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Statewide competition, held May 3, 2019 at Monroe Community College. The teams each created a drone, or UAV, that met the specific challenge of delivering supplies to a location where human access or navigation is challenging or dangerous. Team B earned second place. The teams were put together through the SEAS Engineering Intramurals program and the advisors/project managers were Naveen Ramesh (Team A) and Amit Ramnikbhai Mathukiya (Team B), both graduate students in electrical engineering.
