For Current UB Students

To be assured that any course you take will count toward a degree program, prior to registration, please speak to your engineering department advisor and/or consult your departmental graduate program handbook.

For Non-UB Students

Non-UB students must first apply online. Forms are available through the departments, or through the Graduate Application site (GrAdMIT).  

Do not fill out the GrAdMIT form if you are a current UB graduate student.


Students taking online courses are billed through the university at state tuition rates.

Complaint Resolution

Students enrolled in online courses and programs at the University at Buffalo may submit a grievance to the New York State Department of Education only after completing the complaint process established by the University at Buffalo. Grievance procedures are located here:
