To be assured that any course you take will count toward a degree program, prior to registration, please speak to your engineering department advisor and/or consult your departmental graduate program handbook.

For Non-UB Students

Non-UB students must first apply online. Forms are available through the departments, or through the Graduate Application site (GrAdMIT).  

Do not fill out the GrAdMIT form if you are a current UB graduate student.

Tuition

Students taking online courses are billed through the university at state tuition rates.

New York State Education Department regulations

In accordance with New York State Education Department (SED) regulations, the percentage of courses taken through distance education must be less than 50% of a graduate student’s degree requirements, unless they are part of an approved SUNY degree program. Please contact your department for more details and clarification.
