Students from Burgard High School in Buffalo will visit UB SEAS for the first time this week as part of a new partnership between the university, the school, and Arcadis.
Kevin Burke, an associate professor of teaching in the Department of Electrical Engineering, has been named associate dean for student affairs in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The appointment is effective April 1.
Miles will have access to a nine-month mentorship experience with personalized career coaching sessions, mentor-led workshops and virtual community of practice meetings.
The engineering faculty member, hired as part of UB's historic faculty hiring initiative, works with community groups to solve real-life engineering issues.
