Nano-magazine reported on the study led by Qiaoqiang Gan, professor of electrical engineering, that explains the science behind microscale concave interfaces, structures that reflect light to produce beautiful and potentially useful optical phenomena.
“It is vital to be able to explain how a technology works to someone before you attempt to adopt it. Our new paper defines how light interacts with microscale concave interfaces,” says Gan.
