Chess grandmaster allegedly caught cheating in bathroom during tournament

Chess.com reports on a chess cheating scandal in France and mentions how Ken Regan, associate professor of computer science, advised the Chess Federation’s Fair Play Commission on the matter using a statistical analysis program he developed to detect cheating.

“The Fair Play Commission has been closely following a player for months thank (sic) to Prof. Regan’s excellent statistical insights…” read a tweet from the commission’s secretary that was included in the article.
