Bahl (MS ’88, BS ’86) will return to the University at Buffalo to accept the Dean’s Award for Achievement and address the class of 2024. 

A Forbes article reporting on detection methods to authenticate digital media mentioned research by Siwei Lyu  who noted that audio deepfakes are currently the most challenging to detect. 

Siwei Lyu contributed to the report, concluding that the image was altered to include a paraglider emoji.
