UB to launch new academic department focusing on AI and society

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that UB will receive $5 million to launch the new Department of AI and Society. Atri Rudra  will serve as the inaugural department chair.  The Buffalo News, WGRZ , Finger Lakes 1, WBNG-TV, WWNY-TV, and WKBW-TV also reported on the announcement.
