AI discovers that not every fingerprint is unique

MSN News reposted an article from Tech Xplore that reported on a study conducted by Wenyao Xu and researchers from Columbia University that is challenging the assumption that fingerprints from different fingers of the same person are unmatchable after an AI system received 77% accuracy in determining if unique fingerprints belonged to the same person.
