Buffalo Business First interviewed Venu Govindaraju, vice president for research and economic development, for a story on how UB has grown its research funding 20% over the past decade, and the university’s plans to continue that trend.
“I think we have turned the corner in having the right faculty, expertise and team spirit,” he said. The story also mentions that earlier this year UB received a five-year, $20 million grant from the National Science Foundation to create a national institute that creates artificial intelligence systems to identify and assist kids with speech or language processing challenges.
UB is actively monitoring developments related to COVID-19. Please check with event organizers for the most up-to-date information about scheduled events.
