MIT Technology Review quoted Siwei Lyu in a story that reported an internet protocol called C2PA may be the key in solving the AI-labeling problem.

C2PA is best known as an open-source internet protocol that relies on cryptography to provide information about the origins of a piece of content.

Lyu notes C2PA is not the final solution as it is not legally binding, especially since there is no internet-wide adoption of the standard.
