The Washington Examiner quoted Shambhu Upadhyaya, professor of computer science and engineering, for a story on the Biden administration’s proposed $110 million increase in the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s budget.
While the budget increase is “modest,” Biden’s base CISA budget addresses ransomware attacks and threats from China and Russia, noted Upadhyaya. “The additional funds seem to be adequate to develop certain long-term solutions in the cybersecurity space,” he said.
