‘Ear Echo’ uses your ear to unlock your phone

Futurity reported on UB research led by Zhanpeng Jin, associate professor of computer science and engineering, which developed the EarEcho, a biometric tool that uses sound waves transmitted through modified wireless earbuds to identify smartphone users via the unique geometry of their ear canal.
