Business First reports that two start ups from UB’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences have been named semifinalists in the 43North business competition.
They are Abcombi Biosciences, who is commercializing research that could lead to safer and more effective vaccines, and Buffalo Automation, the self-driving boat startup. The field will ultimately be whittled from 185 to about 20 startups, with leadership teams assembling in Buffalo in early October to compete for the $1 million prize and seven $500,000 runner-up awards.
UB is actively monitoring developments related to COVID-19. Please check with event organizers for the most up-to-date information about scheduled events.
