An article in the Daily News reports a study co-authored by a UB undergraduate has created an app for smartphones, tablets or computers that tracks a child’s eye movements to see whether the child displays signs of autism spectrum disorder.
The story quotes Kun Woo Cho, the student who authored the study. “We speculate that it is due to their lack of ability to interpret and understand the relationship depicted in the social scene,” she said. The article also quotes her research advisor Wenyao Xu, assistant professor of computer science and engineering.
UB is actively monitoring developments related to COVID-19. Please check with event organizers for the most up-to-date information about scheduled events.
