A column in the Wall Street Journal quotes UB computer science professor Wenyao Xu, assistant professor of computer science, who discusses AutoDietary, a food-tracking necklace he is developing that monitors what you eat based on the sound food makes as you bite and chew.

“Each food, as it’s chewed, has its own voice,” he said.
