Zola named associate editor of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing

Jaric Zola, assistant professor of computer Science and engineering, has been invited to serve as an associate editor for the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing (JPDC).

The JPDC publishes original research papers and review articles on the theory, design, evaluation, and use of parallel and/or distributed computing, and is considered one of the top three journals in the field.

Zola received his MS in computer science from the Czestochowa University of Technology in Poland in 2001 and his PhD in Computer Science from Czestochowa University of Technology and Grenoble Institute of Technology in France in 2005. His research interests include scalable computing; high performance and parallel computing; computational biology; data-driven scientific computing. Also this year, he received a 2019 NSF CAREER award for his work on scalable software and algorithmic infrastructure for probabilistic graphical modeling, and an Early Career Faculty Teaching Award from CSE.
