This ceremony is intended and scheduled only for SEAS UNDERGRADS who have applied for graduation (degree) indicating one of the following graduation terms:
You are officially a degree candidate for next academic year. However, if you would prefer to participate in this year's ceremony instead, you can. If you apply for Sept. '20 degree conferral and register for this year's ceremony, your name will be announced when you cross the stage; however, your name will not be included in the printed program. The printed program only lists degree conferral candidates for the current academic year.
Registration for the commencement ceremony is separate from applying for graduation (degree). If you plan to participate in the commencement ceremony, you must register for it.
Please register online. Registration deadline: May 1, 2020.
If you would like to verify that your name will be printed in the commencement program, please check the registration site (see above). Students have the option to check their name without registering for the ceremony. The name printed will be your preferred name as it appears in HUB unless you indicate otherwise. Any changes must be made by April 15, 2020 to allow timely printing of the program.
Students earning baccalaureate degrees (including those awarded as part of combined degrees) are eligible to receive Latin honors based on their UB cumulative grade point average (GPA) on the following scale:

Candidates for graduation are also encouraged to wear on their robes any insignia, emblems or pins signifying membership in honorary societies or academic organizations, or special honors received for academic or extracurricular activities.
