Isabel Hall, an incoming senior in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering presented The Flow Project, an initiative she started with UB students from the Departments of Urban and Regional Planning and Business Administration/Public Health, at the World’s Challenge Challenge in London, Ontario.

On May 27, UB welcomed 38 undergraduate STEM students from Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan to campus. They made the 36-hour trip to take a variety of classes, from engineering to sociology, through UBThisSummer during the first six-week session of the program.

Last month, Domske received the John R. Vallentyne Award from the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR). She received the award at IAGLR's 61st conference in Toronto, Canada, last month.

UB researcher Nirupam Aich is working with colleagues in Bangladesh to investigate e-waste and its effect on people’s health. His goal is to one day find a solution to the problem in Bangladesh and other developing countries.

Seven UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences students connected with other female engineers at the 2018 WE Local Conference in Providence, R.I., an annual regional event presented by the Society of Women Engineers.

Teng Wu, a faculty member specializing in structural, bridge and wind engineering, received the 2018 International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) prize for his contributions to structural engineering.
