Innovation Nation, a CBS News show hosted by correspondent Mo Rocca, on Saturday featured the work of UB environmental engineer Jim Jenson and engineering student Deshawn Henry, who demonstrated the water lens, a 6-foot-tall, self-sustaining magnifying glass that uses sunlight to heat and disinfect water, a system being developed as a purification system for the unclean drinking water found in many countries around the world.

The story aired on stations nationally, including KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, WCBS-TV in New York City, WFOR-TV in Miami and KPIX-TV in San Francisco.
