Library Resources for Research in Chemical and Biological Engineering

+Attendance is mandatory for all CBE first year graduate students.

This seminar will introduce students to the resources available from the University at Buffalo Libraries in support of research activities and coursework in chemical and biological engineering. Specific emphasis will be placed on the availability and use of electronic resources for research, including research and citation databases, electronic journals, and electronic books.

Erin Rowley is the Engineering Librarian at the University at Buffalo.  She has a BA from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Master of Library Science from the University at Buffalo.  Before coming to UB Libraries in November 2017, Erin previously worked as the head of the research team at Bureau Veritas, an international consumer products testing laboratory. Erin spent more than 8 years working along side engineers and technicians to assist them in finding the appropriate standards, patents, technical reports, and scholarly literature necessary to do their jobs.
