The AIChE Buffalo Student Chapter

CBE undergraduate students at 2019 AIChE ChemE Car Competition.

The student chapter of UB CBE’s American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) prepares undergraduate students for the real world by fostering connections with future employers. They do so by presenting a speaker series where students can visit with and learn from UB CBE alums, and they can go on local company plant tours each month.

The AIChE student chapter also attends the national and regional AIChE conferences, competes in the Cheme-E car competition, and hosts social events to again connect students and colleagues, along with professional development workshops to ready participants for their future career.

Interested undergraduates can join the club by contacting:

President Manraj Barn
Vice Presiden
t: Jadwiga Varga
Treasurer: Casey Grosso
Secretary: Alyssa Mei
Social Chair: Shatoni Ross
Technical Director (in charge of ChemE Car): Melanie Ragonese

The UB CBE AIChE Student Chapter elected an all-female executive board to lead the club in the 2019-20 academic year, and with that come a new vision and ideas for reaching beyond traditional activities and department service.
