NewsNation Now quoted John Crassidis, SUNY Distinguished Professor and Samuel P. Capen Chair Professor in the  Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, in an article on the collision of space debris with the moon.

While this won’t affect people on Earth, experts are nervous about the amount of space junk floating around the solar system. “We’re not at a huge problem right now, but if we don’t do anything in the next decade…I think it’s going to be a lot worse,” Crassidis said.
