John Crassidis, SUNY Distinguished Professor and Samuel P. Capen Chair Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, is quoted in Satellite Pro - Middle East on the growing problem of space debris.

“If we don’t do something within the next few decades – 50 years at most – then the Kessler Syndrome will become a reality. The youth of today will certainly need to solve the problem,” says Crassidis, who works with NASA and the US Air Force on the issue.
