John Crassidis, SUNY Distinguished Professor and Samuel P. Capen Chair Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, appeared on the Science Edition of Press Conference USA, a radio program hosted by Voice of America.
He discussed the growing threat of space debris. “We currently track about 30,000 objects that are about a softball’s size or bigger,” Crassidis said.
