From Clifton Park to Mars: Shen graduates had a hand in Mars Rover project

Community News Weekly reports that Kevin Carpenter and Justin Page, both students in UB's Department of Mechanical and Aerospsce Engineering, worked at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab, home of the Mars Rover, as interns.

Carpenter worked on dynamic impact analysis for an earth entry vehicle which is part of the Mars Sample Return Mission. Page worked as a mechanical systems engineer for three months and later a mechanical ground support engineer for three months on the Europa Clipper Mission, a mission to go to the Jovian moon Europa and check for signs of life.
