Tech sites Geek.com and Beebom covered an artificial intelligence project that UB engineers are developing, funded by DARPA, that will control military drones.

The research involves studying the physical and cognitive skills that computer gamers use when playing. The story quotes Souma Chowdhury, PhD, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, “We don’t want the AI system just to mimic human behaviour; we want it to form a deeper understanding of what motivates human actions. That’s what will lead to more advanced AI.”
