An article in the Thibodaux Daily Comet reports nearly a dozen UB students spent the last week of their winter break doing coastal restoration in Louisiana, and quotes Leah Nola, a mechanical engineering student.
“I thought it was cool to learn about the history of the local culture and to learn the culture as well because we’ve learned so much about Buffalo history and Buffalo culture, but Louisiana has such a rich culture in the South,” she said.
