Admission Criteria

Students interested in joining the combined degree program must first apply for the combined degree program through the BS/MS Application Form. Students may apply using this form after semester 5 (typically Fall Junior year) grades have been posted, but no later than the start of semester 7 (typically Fall Senior year).  Within this Application Form, they are required to indicate that they have completed at least 75 credit hours, hold a minimum GPA of 3.00 among all required coursework for the AE BS degree.

The application is reviewed and approved by the Undergraduate Academic Coordinator. If approved, students will be eligible to take two graduate courses in their final two semesters of the BS degree program (semesters seven and eight). One of these courses has to be MAE 525. This course will be offered in both graduate and undergraduate level. The undergraduate version of this course (MAE 425) is one of the Aerospace elective courses for the BS in Aerospace Engineering. The graduate level version covers the essential topics in MAE 425 in addition to more advanced topics appropriate for graduate level. Transfer students must complete at least one semester in the Aerospace Engineering BS program before applying to the combined degree program.
