The tradition of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences’ commencement speaker competition continued this year but with a twist.

The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences has named Rajan Batta as associate dean for faculty affairs and diversity, and appointed Francine Battaglia as chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

A UB faculty member since 1996, Lewis has steadily risen through the ranks of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
