Amherst company claims prize in business plan competition

The Buffalo News reports that UB spinoff Aviate Audio, formed by two electrical engineering alumni, was among six companies statewide to win $50,000 in the FuzeHub business contest.

The company, formed by University at Buffalo graduates Ryan Jaquin and Shane Nolan who both earned a combined BS in electrical engineering/MBA degree in 2018, was among 14 finalists in the FuzeHub Commercialization Competition.  

Aviate won UB's Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition in 2018 under the name Bitcrusher.
