On Thursday, October 3, 2019, over 100 members of the UB community gathered in Slee Hall to honor exceptional alumni, students and corporate partners at the Sixth Annual School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Awards Night.
Kay Stanney, CEO and founder of Design Interactive Inc. and an alumna of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering.
Jonathan Watts, vice president at Watts Architecture & Engineering, came to the University at Buffalo as a transfer student in 1996. He left his previous college because he felt that UB offered a more comprehensive engineering education, and went on to earn his BS in industrial engineering in 2000 and a BS in civil engineering in 2003.
Faculty and students from UB’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering received four awards at the 2018 INFORMS Annual Meeting and Analytics Conference.
