Schimpf named Program Chair-elect of ASEE’s Design in Engineering Education Division

Corey Schimpf was named Program Chair-elect of the ASEE Design in Engineering Education Division. In close coordination with the Chair, he will be responsible for the organization and timely completion of reviews for papers submitted to Division-sponsored sessions at ASEE’s annual conference.

According to their website, the Design in Engineering Education Division aims to improve the quality of engineering design education skills by sharing knowledge, learning and best practices. Their objectives are to encourage dissemination of new approaches and effective pedagogy, and to provide a forum to identify problems and needs, and explore the means to address them.

Schimpf joins the Department of Engineering Education this fall as an assistant professor.
