Professor Jayant K. Singh, MS 2002, PhD 2005, has been elected to the Fellowship of the Indian Academy of Sciences - 2025.  Prof. Singh earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering as part of the David A. Kofke research group.  He is Founder & Director
Prescience Insilico Pvt. Ltd., based in India.

His current research group is at the forefront of development of porous materials, devices and computational tools. He has many accolades to his name already, ranging from INAE-SERB to the DST Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship (2023) to IIChE (2021), amongst others.

"Jayant's professional trajectory since his graduation from the University at Buffalo has been spectacular. He has advanced an astonishingly broad range of application areas: water, polymers, proteins, medicine, catalysis, adsorption, nucleation, interfaces, photonics, machine learning, separations, solutions, energy, fuels, farming, sustainability, and more! I can think of very few people who have diversified their impact, while maintaining quality, to the degree that Jayant has accomplished.  But even more important, Jayant has also successfully educated and mentored many students of his own, which is how academic faculty have their greatest impact.  Jayant’s recognition from the Indian Academy of Sciences is an appropriate acknowledgement of his international stature and his broad and impactful accomplishments."
