The breadth of research interests and opportunities in the UB CBE program is expansive. UB CBE boasts top-notch PIs and scientists who consistently operate at the cutting-edge of their respective fields. Students are often granted the opportunity to showcase their work at annual symposia and international conferences. The department also hosts a stellar weekly seminar series year-round.
As a student in the research group of Professor P. Alexandridis, I study fundamental interfacial phenomena, such as molecular self-assembly and adsorption, with a focus on unlocking techniques for the structuring of nano-composite materials. This work is applicable towards fields including advanced surface coatings, drug delivery, and oil spill clean-up.
