UB's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences engages in a wide variety of educational activities, all of which aim to stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and encourage students to be curious about the world around them.

  • Arcadis Pathways to Engineering Camp
    6/15/26
    July 6 - 10, 2026: The Arcadis Pathways to Engineering Camp uses activities in STEM fields to help students understand environmental impact throughout the world. The program features hands-on laboratory projects and field experience on campus and in the community.
  • Chem-E Camp

    July 13 - 17, 2026: A week long camp for high-school juniors and seniors with an interest and aptitude for chemistry, physics, and/or mathematics.

    July 28 - 30, 2026: The Computer Science and Engineering Department's CSExplore Camp is an exciting 3-day program designed to give high school students an engaging, fun-filled and hands-on immersive summer experience.
  • Experiential Learning in Emerging STEM Technologies

    June 29 - July 31, 2026: The NSF Experiential Learning for Emerging and Novel Technologies (ExLENT) program provides cohorts of diverse learners with the skills to succeed in emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things.
  • National Summer Transportation Institute

    August 3-7, 2026: The National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) al­lows high school students to explore the state-of-practice of today’s transportation.
