Christopher Wirth has been awarded the NSF CAREER award. Wirth graduated from the University at Buffalo with a bachelor degree in chemical and biological engineering in 2007. He is currently an assistant professor of chemical and biomedical engineering at Cleveland State University. His research focuses on surface chemistry interactions of nanoparticles during the processing of coatings, production of complex fluids, and in synthetic and biological active colloids. The NSF CAREER award is “National Science Foundation's most prestigious award in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.”
