Alumnus Jan Przezdziecki, MS 1985, BS 1982 has joined the Advisory Board for UB's Chemical and Biological Engineering Department. His term on the advisory board began October 1st, 2019.
Jan Przezdziecki was born in England, but spent most of his childhood in upstate New York. His father worked for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY. He attended The University of Buffalo where he graduated with a BS/MS in Chemical Engineering. He also met his wife Janice at UB (in the Goodyear dorm cafeteria). She graduated with a BS in Nursing in 1982. After graduation Jan and his wife moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to work for Procter & Gamble and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Jan spent a large part of his professional career with Procter & Gamble in a range of Product Development and Quality Assurance roles working primarily on health and beauty care products. In 2013, he left P&G and joined Carlsberg, a global Danish beer company, as Group Vice President Quality. In 2017, he joined Hasbro, a global toy and entertainment company, as their Senior Vice President Quality and Global Safety. At Hasbro Jan leads a global team of ~120 quality and reliability engineers. Jan spent several years living and working outside of the US, including Puerto Rico (3 years), London (5 years), Switzerland (3 years) and now resides in Rhode Island.
Jan and Janice raised a large family with 2 girls and 2 boys. All their children are grown up and now hard working adults! When he is not working Jan enjoys golf, skiing, fishing, and recently learned to sail in the Narragansett Bay.
