Science and research have many unfortunate limitations. Other than time and money, availability of equipment and expertise can easily affect your experimental plans. Fortunately at UB we have a number of core facilities that can help. The Materials Testing Facility on the UB South Campus offers access to several services including universal testing machines for mechanical characterization and various color science equipment for colorimetry. Devices and expertise that can greatly aid in your discovery and characterization of new materials.
Steven Makowka is the director of the Materials Testing Facility (MTF) at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. As a Biomaterials Scientist, he oversees research, development, and testing of various materials; ranging from medical applications, general consumer and commercial use, for academic and private industry.
