Six students from SEAS participated in a first-of-its-kind study abroad earlier this summer. The students were the first United States cohort to participate in a European Union BEST course, joining European students in Iasi, Romania.

The Dallas Morning News reports that a research team that includes Souma Chowdhury (MAE) have developed an artificial intelligence model designed to help electrical grids prevent power outages.

Utah Public Radio reported that MAE undergraduate students Stanley Smykowski and Mitchell Thurston represented UB’s Nano Satellite Lab at the 38th Small Satellite Conference at Utah State University.

Mark Glauser has received the 2024 AIAA Fluid Dynamics Award, recognizing his contributions to the innovative use of multi-point low-dimensional methods for the understanding and control of turbulent flows.
