The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences welcomes 20 new faculty members this semester, who are renowned for their research and educational expertise.
The Institute of International Education ranked UB No. 25 in its latest census, “The Open Doors 2022 Report on International Educational Exchange. UB ranked No. 27 on the list the previous two years.
The National Law Review mentioned that UB is among 11 institutions that will share in $7.7 million in research funding announced by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Eleven faculty members from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences were among those recognized at the University at Buffalo’s Celebration of Faculty and Staff Academic Excellence.
Representatives from GlobalFoundries (GF), a global leader in feature-rich semiconductor manufacturing, toured several labs in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences as part of an ongoing collaboration.
Hackaday’s story on automated labs included mentioned the Artificial Chemist, which was developed by Kristofer Reyes, UB Department of Materials Design and Innovation, and North Carolina State University.
Their projects will tackle pressing societal concerns ranging from racial inequality in the U.S. to PFAS pollution, the need for better semiconductors, and energy conservation.
