UB opens drone facility to boost next generation of research

Buffalo Business First reported that UB opened the 24,000-square-foot drone-testing facility Structure for Outdoor Autonomy Research, located near Crofts Hall on the North Campus.

“We view it as an investment for future research,” said Chase Murray, assistant professor of industrial and systems engineering. “As soon as we announced it, faculty members started writing proposals to do research using that space. We have this incredible sandbox.”
