Support Electrical Engineering

Gifts to he Department of Electrical Engineering help provide students with the opportunity to learn and grow in a challenging and supportive environment, and allow our faculty members to advance cutting-edge research across the electrical engineering spectrum.

Your impact

Electrical Engineering alumni and friends have supported our department, students and faculty members in several different ways:

  • An endowed scholarship from an alum allows us to increase our undergraduate and graduate student support.
  • Donations support student laboratory upgrades, new computers, and can fund other student activities like conference travel.
  • Our named professorships attract, retain and recognize distinguished faculty members whose teaching and research enhance the Department's reputation and positively influence the educational and professional pursuits of future generations of electrical engineers.

  • Electrical Engineering Department Fund

A faculty member dressed formally looks at a specimen while a student uses a microscope to closely examine the specimen.

Created in 1945, the Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the earliest departments in what became the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at UB. Our faculty members and students define new directions for electrical engineering through cutting-edge research, and develop new technologies to help address critical societal challenges in biology and medicine, energy and the environment.

  • Electrical Engineering Scholarship Fund

Three female students sit in a computer lab. The closest one has a notebook, the middle one has a laptop and the third looks at a desktop computer.

Your gift helps undergraduate and graduate students in the department gain in-depth knowledge and participate in hands-on research.

  • Matthew Enright Award for Experiential Learning

Man on a boat drops a buoy into the water. He is wearing sunglasses on a sunny day. Appears to be on Lake Erie.

Your gift helps support and reduce the financial burden of undergraduate electrical engineering majors who pursue unpaid summer internships or experiential learning opportunities.
