Behind the Scenes at BNL: Future Engineers Dive into the World of National Laboratories

Senior chemical engineering students and members of the local AIChE chapter took a trip to the Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY to learn about potential internship and career paths national laboratories can present. Over the tour, they learned about BNL's history, their internship programs, and the paths people take to work at BNL as an Engineer. The students walked through the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II), an electron accelerator, and spoke with engineers regarding current projects and how they got their start at BNL.
