As college ends, Kamal Patel tackles entrepreneurship in Buffalo

Buffalo Business First profiles Kamal Patel, who finished up his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at UB while launching his company, Layer Slayers, with fellow recent UB grad Daunel Augustin.

“I’m much happier in a startup situation where there is a camaraderie, a family and a tight knit group of people all working toward the same goal,” said Patel. “That ethos really important to me.”

Layer Slayers earned second-place in UB’s Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition.
