Why did you choose to study electrical engineering?

Since childhood I loved taking apart an electronic device just to see how it works. I was fascinated by the fact that a circuit which is not bigger than a square millimeter in size can do humongous tasks despite its seemingly negligible size. I wanted to learn more about this field and hence chose to pursue electrical engineering.

What do you like best about electrical engineering?

The area that interests me the most in Electrical Engineering is Embedded Systems. An Embedded system is a computer system designed to do a specific task, they are everywhere from microwave, calculator and watch, to super computers and spaceships. The positive impact you can have on society when you are working in this field is endless.

What makes UB Electrical Engineering special?

The opportunity to get involved in cutting edge research activities in the department, the exhaustive list of courses offered, and the chance to learn from experienced professors who are pioneers in their field, is what makes UB Electrical Engineering special. The department continuously strives to be the Best. This is evident from the fact that it adds new relevant courses to its already impressive list every year. It is a great place for future electrical engineers to learn and grow.
