Buffalo Business First reports how technology from the lab of Jonathan Lovell, SUNY Empire Innovation Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, could be used for freeze-drying formulas for all kinds of vaccines, ranging from HIV, cancer and malaria to COVID-19. 

“Our technology is compatible with refrigerated storage, as opposed to ultra-cold storage,” Lovell said. “The technology has been proven. We’re hoping we can get another licensing agreement and also come up with our own products so we can advance ourselves.”
