NASA grant for UB planetary craft elevates hopes for exploring Venus

A story in the Buffalo News reports that a team led by Javid Bayandor, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, has  invented a stingray-shaped planetary exploration spacecraft that is being backed by NASA in hopes it will eventually fly to Venus.

Bayandor said the work students in his lab will do on this project “could have a significant impact on future explorations of our solar system as well as research and education in the fields of engineering and science.”
